Since we’re in the business of brightening folks’ days one cup of smooth coffee at a time, we’d like to think we know a thing or two about starting your day on a high note. We know, we know, some days it’s easier said than done, but when it really comes down to it, incorporating little day-brightening habits into your daily routine can have a profound effect on your overall outlook.
With that said, we hope that these tips make every day the brightest day it can be!
- Get outside – Summer has arrived! Throw on some sunglasses and head to the patio or backyard to enjoy your favorite coffee. Better yet, break out the blowup pool and have some fun in the sun. Who says it’s for kids only?
- Bring some nature into your space – Hawaiian Blend is perfectly sippable for clipping your favorite floral blooms from your yard. Put them in a fun vase and admire them all week long.
- Paint a room a sunny shade of yellow to feel instantly alive and vibrant. For us, color sparks joy and optimism. It’s one of the main reasons that you’ll find our coffee packaged in bright, cheerful colors and the walls of our office in Shakopee, MN covered in lime green and bright blue. Trust us, it does wonders for transforming a space into a place of joy and inspiration!
- Brighten someone else’s day – Yes, you read that right! Brightening someone else’s day will equally brighten our own – it’s science! Endorphins, the same brain chemicals that make you feel invincible and happily sleepy after a three-mile run, can also be experienced through something called a “Helper’s High.” A Helper’s High is a type of euphoria and produces a natural, mild version of a morphine high. That’s right, endorphins are nuts. But, they’re meaningful. And they’re looking for genuine feelings and kindness movements to latch onto. Read more about it in our blog post here.
There you have it, our 5 tips for making every day the brightest day possible. Now get out there and resolve to keep your mug half full today.
