I have a similar opinion as Brandon H below regarding the flavor being changed. I grew up in the next town over from Camerons and got hooked on the grog when my parents sent me some in care packages while I served in Iraq (15 years ago). Been on and off since ordering a bag here and there. Always drinking it while home in MN. My sister sent me 2lbs for Christmas last year and it was good, but not what I remember. I just ordered myself a bag and will be giving it another try. I'm hoping the bad batch theory is correct. If you like it now, it likely used to be better. Fingers crossed.

I discovered Highlander Grog 6 years ago, one of the best coffee that passed my lips. I consistently try to buy Highlander, preferring the 2lb bag, whole bean bag. Unfortunately, my retailer/jobber is not consistently supplying the shelves with sufficient product of any Highlander Grog product at Kansas City Price Chopper Markets or Walmart. I have been responsible for over 20 friends switching to the HG bag. It is shameful we cannot find a consistent local store shelf for our consumptive taste preference.

This is my favorite coffee. I don't know if it was different before, like the other gentleman said, but I like it the way it is right. But if it feels actually better at 1 time, I'd love to try the original. But either way I love it. I also like the hazelnut, vanilla too or vanilla hazelnut, whatever Next, I'm probably going to try the Jamaican stuff. Oh, but it's really expensive. I like some reasoning for this pricing. When I can get all their top brands for cheaper, right? I'm just saying still. I drink this coffee every day. I pay the price. I get it at a local store in my village in mount pillier. And I get in about it seven something a bag which is outrageous for only twelve ounces

This company has changed its ingredients or how it is manufactured. The reviews on the smooth taste and not bitter are now inconsistent. It smelled wonderful. You could catch the hints of butterscotch and rum. Over the last few months it has changed. I thought maybe there was a bad batch and let it go. I now believe they are selling something else but leaving the label on it. It smells and tastes completely different.
