Try these DIY face mask recipes to revitalize winter skin!

Not sure what to do with leftover coffee grounds? Coffee can be recycled for several alternative uses; plant food, insect repellant, odor neutralizer, and more but our favorite is the face mask. Filled with antioxidants that are good for the skin, coffee’s star ingredient caffeine is a common skincare ingredient used for toning and brightening. Winter is here, and while the frost can be beautiful, it can often lead to drier, duller skin. Try these simple, at-home face mask recipes to spruce up your skin!

 

Mix together two tablespoons of ground coffee, and add in several tablespoons of aloe vera plant, gel, or juice (whatever you have on hand). Mix them together to form a paste or jelly, and apply on to your clean skin for 15-30 minutes before rinsing. 

Mix together two tablespoons of coffee and one tablespoon of honey, and mix to form a paste before applying to clean skin, then leave it on for 10-20 minutes before rinsing. Want to elevate this mask? Mask it into your skin with small, upward circular motions to increase efficacy.
