We don’t know about you, but we think warmer months are a great excuse to indulge in cool treats, like ice cream! And when you can find a way to add coffee to the mix, that’s even better. If you’ve never heard of an affogato, it’s a delicious Italian coffee-based dessert, and with this recipe you can enjoy one in the comfort of your own home.

Fun fact, the word affogato means “drowned” in Italian, which is the perfect way to describe how your favorite Cameron’s blend is going to melt and mingle with the classic vanilla ice cream.



Affogato

Directions:

  • Brew 1 shot of our Organic Espresso (2 tbsp ground coffee per 6 oz water) or 4 tbsp of a strong cup of your favorite Cameron’s brewed coffee.
  • Scoop 1-2 scoops of your favorite vanilla ice cream (might we suggest a local favorite, Izzy’s) into a wide glass or small bowl.
  • Pour the brewed coffee over the ice cream.
  • Enjoy!

An affogato is truly the easiest way to have both an after dinner drink and dessert!

  1. I love Cameron coffee. I winter in Az. and it’s not as available there as in Mn. so I bring at least 4 2# bags with!
